Janna Meyrowitz Turner

President Synastry Capital, Business & Social Impact Advisor, Entrepreneur, Angel Investor, Speaker

Janna has been building values-aligned coalitions for over 20 years across CPG, fashion, tech, finance, entertainment, politics, advocacy, healthcare, wellness, food and more.

Inspired by her sociologist mother and media theorist father on how values evolve and how media and other forces inform public perception, Janna saw a gap in the existing public relations landscape and in 2006, aged 23, established Style House as a forward-thinking boutique public relations and brand marketing firm serving fashion, beauty and wellness companies. Over 15 years, Style House grew into an award-winning strategic communications and business development consultancy known for bringing a holistic, progressive, and multicultural lens to its client work that straddles small businesses and venture-backed start-ups, to multi-national corporations.

In 2016, Janna started investing in and mentoring early-stage companies. Today, as President of her cross-sector impact vehicle Synastry Capital, she is an angel investor in over 20 portfolio companies with founders committed to triple-bottom-line business frameworks. She focuses primarily on communities overlooked or misunderstood by traditional sources of capital - female, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ founders. Janna is also involved with strategic investment syndicates designed to diversify access and ownership for underrepresented investors, and to equip founders with powerful catalysts for growth.

Her signature Personal Brand Alignment work with some of the world’s most recognized brands, blends leadership coaching, spiritual centering, and talent management. It is designed to build personal and professional narratives that maximize happiness, impact and earning potential. Since 2021, given the fast- changing landscape on abortion and democratic rights, Janna has worked with clients and business leaders to use their voice, power, and influence to “meet this moment” and to support the full spectrum of their employees' healthcare needs, whilst continuing to build resilient, innovative businesses.

Janna sits on the board of “A Call To Men”, a national violence prevention organization providing training and education on healthy manhood for communities of men and boys, and has also served as a mentor with the New York City Mayor’s Task Force on Racial Inclusion and Equity.

Janna earned her BA in American Studies and Journalism at Brandeis University. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
